Today I had the privilege of meeting with Monika from The Blushing Bakeshop located in Ballantyne Village. I was able to ask her some questions about her adorable cupcake shop!
Monika began baking on and off throughout her life and then she got into catering after college. A couple of years ago is when she really got into baking cupcakes because she loves that they are individual and full of personality. The Blushing Bakeshop began in DC and then she moved it to Charlotte and it has been in business for five months. The Blushing Bakeshop uses quality ingredients and the cupcakes aren’t as sugary as others. It is a gourmet treat that is tailored for an adult dessert. They offer a wide range of flavors from Red Velvet to Rocky Road to Apple Cake topped with a vanilla buttercream and caramel drizzle (which I was able to sample today and it was DELICIOUS!!!). The Blushing Bakeshop can also create mini cupcakes, cupcake bouquets, customized cupcakes, and it doesn’t hurt to ask for other things! With the rising trend in cupcakes for weddings and parties Monika likes how cupcakes taste good, they can give a variety of flavors to your guests, and they offer a little extra personality to your event! The Blushing Bakeshop’s cupcakes are AMAZING so be sure to stop by for a delicious treat!!
